Ever since taking over management of Holy Skin Tattoo Wanaka at the start of 2017 Nathan’s vision for the studio was one of a warm welcoming, inclusive, friendly space where everyone in the community could feel comfortable to come in, hang out & discuss their ideas for the tattoos they dreamed of.
No matter how big or small, without fear of judgement or if other people would think it’s “cool”
If it’s important to our clients, it’s important to us to give them the very best piece of art we can & make them feel like they are very much just as vital to the design process as anything else.
To this day we’re proud to call our “clients” friends & strive to not just create an awesome tattoo but give them the experience they deserve

Nathan took over the management of Holy Skin back in January 2017
After working & travelling to various countries around the world, he was keen to have a studio with a friendly, inclusive, welcoming persona, that was part of the community, where everyone could feel comfortable to come in & discuss their own personal ideas with like-minded artists that were there to help bring the best out of a design & not only give the client what they wanted but hopefully a piece of art better than they had imagined.

Originally from Belgium, I’ve been living in New Zealand for the past seven years. I’ve been creating art ever since I could hold a pencil. I did my first tattoo in 2017. Tattooing felt like a way to create meaningful art that moves, lives, and grows with the person wearing it.
Over the years, it has become far more than just a craft for me; it’s truly my passion. I’m especially drawn to fine line work, ornamental designs, and pieces that flow naturally with the body. I love creating tattoos that enhance the body’s shape and feel elegant, balanced, and timeless. Tattooing, for me, is a shared experience between artist and client. I care deeply about creating a calm and welcoming space where people feel safe, supported, and truly seen while we bring their idea to life on the body.
Outside of tattooing, you’ll usually find me somewhere in the mountains. I love climbing, tramping, and bike touring and anything that brings me close to nature and adventure. I’m also deeply connected to my spiritual side and love practices that bring people together and inward at the same time, like dancing, kirtan, and personal growth work.
